Hello, my name is Anita Williams and I am the President and CEO of Phenomenal Girls, Inc.
I am originally from Pineville, LA. I have lived in Houston, TX since March of 2000. I have a great son named Spencer. I have always felt that I had a bigger purpose in life. I remember someone telling me once that sometimes you go through sad and traumatic events in your life in order to have the passion to go out and help make positive changes in the world. I believe that is true.
As a result of some unfortunate experiences in my life, I developed low self-esteem and confidence in myself. I got to the point where I did not think that I was good enough. I developed a negative belief system that did not allow me to accomplish my dreams and goals. It took a long time to build myself back up to a point where I could be successful and thrive in life.
My way of helping to change the world for the better was by creating Phenomenal Girls, Inc. I wanted to form an organization that was devoted to empowering females. When girls have high self-esteem and confidence they believe in their abilities and know their worth as a person. As a result, they make good choices when it comes to their education, career, friendships, boys, etc. They want and expect more out of life.
I have learned that we experience events in our lives for a reason. In the end, life is truly a blessing.
